Purrty Hair – Misikko.com Review

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Misikko.com to review one of their ion hair dryers. Misikko sells hair dryers and professional hair straighteners.  I had been using a crappy drugstore dryer which I thought was fine since I have pretty easy hair. I never thought a fancy blow dryer was something I needed, but I thought why not and agreed to try it out.  Full disclosure: I received the hair dryer for free, but my opinion is my own and I received no monetary compensation for this review.

I received the HANA Air Premiere Hair Dryer and within hours was trying it out. Oh. my gosh. I was seriously missing out all those years using a cheapo hair dryer. This thing is great! My hair dried much quicker than before and it looked so shiny after. Plus, it felt super soft. So, after I blow dryed my hair I brought out my junky old hair straightener to finish the job. Somehow this felt really wrong. So, after a day or two I decided to take the plunge and purchase myself a nice hair straighener. I knew my hair would look better and be healthier.

I ordered the Hana standard flat iron, but was randomly upgraded to the professional flat iron at no charge. I’m in love. My hair looks so much less frizzy and it stays straight so much longer. Even when it rains! Love.

Since the folks at Misikko are so lovely and kind, they are offering a coupon code for $10 off any purchase over $100. Just enter SweeterSalt10 at checkout.

Also, as a side note, I have had bunches of people asking me about my ombre hair coloring, who did it, etc. Want to know the truth? Those are roots! I used to dye my hair but haven’t for a year or so. I’ve just been growing it out (the light brown color on top is my natural shade). Now it’s at a length where it looks like I paid someone money to create it – ha! I figure I’ll ride this trend while I can, whether it’s accidental or not!

About sweetersalt

Salt = sodium = bad. Sweet = calories = bad. Well, isn't that just a bleak outlook. I firmly believe that without salt and without sweet we all just live in a world of lettuce. Plain lettuce. Fun? No. This blog is about life. Namely, my life. But, not that specific. I myself am simply not that interesting. I live an ordinary life, work an ordinary job and do ordinary things. But... life is all about experiencing that feeling you get when you really, really like something. If you don't feel a little warm in your heart when you walk into a farmer's market or try on a piece of beautiful clothing that fits you perfectly (that just so happens to be a great deal!) then you should probably keep on a' movin' from my little plot of internet. Sweeter salt is my metaphor for the good things in life, sprinkled over everything in moderation. Banana? Kinda boring. Banana smoothie - yum! White tank top? Yawn. Statement necklace layered over said tank - now we're talking! I live in Portland, Maine. I love cooking, eating out, riding my bike and approachable fashion. This blog does not chronicle my every waking moment. This is because you will probably not be entertained by the 10th day in a row that I eat the exact same salad for lunch. It does chronicle a healthy, active, fun-filled, colorful lifestyle, in Portland and beyond. It also covers dogs. Cute ones mostly.

Your hair looks fabulous! I’ve only ever used a cheap-o hair dryer, so I totally wonder what a high-quality dryer would do for me :)
