I bought this belt at a thrift / vintage store in Portland, OR (I can’t remember which one) for $8 while I was on the West Coast. I bought it thinking I was buying a vintage red belt. Well, that was wrong. As it turns out it is brand new BCBG and it is in fact a dark orange color. Oh well, I think I actually prefer orange to red in this situation. Makes it a little special.
I’ve been wrestling with how to style the belt since I bought it since I most definitely do not want to look like I’m celebrating my sweet 16. Too girly = no bueno for me. So, pairing it with a men’s shirt and some unexpected accessories made me happy.
I also feel the need to bring attention to my necklace. This is totally one of my favorite things, yet I don’t wear it all that often. It HAS A PUG ON IT. If you only know one thing about me know that I’m obsessed with these squatty little dogs.
Necklace: Erwin Pearl
Sun glasses: Betsy Johnson
I actually kind of feel like this is one of my most “me” outfits. Something about the colors, fit, combination of masculine and feminine, and of course, the pug, made me feel very at ease. Love that.
