Ross’s cousin got married last weekend, so that meant the D family needed to get a little spiffed up for the occasion. I had plans to wear a dress already in my closet, but when I was in Little Ghost Vintage helping Turtle Love Co shoot some vintage engagement rings, I spotted something I knew I couldn’t walk away from. 1970′s, navy blue, maxi, flutter sleeves – suh-weet!

Teal clutch: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Yellow hair feather: Ce Jaune
Ross said I looked like I was going to the beach in the 70′s. “PERFECT!” I exclaimed. “I’m going for 70′s Luau Wedding.” Ross was then quiet.
I wore this feathered hairpiece for my own wedding reception (photos here), just over a year ago. Time flies!
This is also the blog’s first introduction to my new hair. You see, I had been rocking an unintentional ombre look for some time (aka roots). So when it occurred to me that I needed to get a hair cut I knew I would have to cut out my blonde ends. I didn’t wanna! So, I had my hair stylist (Thomas at Salone Burke, love him) add some more in. No one seems to notice it but me, but I like it. I quite enjoy the duality between blonde and brunette, thank you very much.
